How does the Search Work?

The search bar allows users to search by category, shop name or location. You can search by all vendors in a given country, any vendors that sell specific props, or can search for a specific shop by name!

On the listing page you'll be able to filter by these metrics as well as review ratings and several other options.

How Do I Make an Account?

Making an account on the Flow Arts Marketplace is easy! Select Login or Register from the top nav menu and you'll be prompted to register or sign in!

Alternatively if you try to use features that require an account such as creating a listing or leaving a review, you'll be redirected to the registration page so you can make an account and use these features.

How to use the Dashboard?

Your Dashboard is a handy place for you to find your past reviews, reviews you've upvoted or listings and reviews that you have bookmarked! Navigate to your dashboard by using the top nav bar when you're logged in.

The Dashboard has three sections in the side listing:

  • Your bookmarks and votes: this is where you'll find comments you've upvoted or listings that you've saved for later.
  • Prop Shops: This section contains your listing if you're a vendor, any active claims you have and links to all of your past reviews if you wish to edit them or navigate to them.
  • Account: Here you can change your password or delete your Flow Arts Marketplace account.
How to Change my Password?

Navigate to your Dashboard, and in the account section of the left sidebar, select "Change Password" from there you'll be able to input your new account password.

How do I Log Out?

How do I Create a Listing?

You can create a listing in several ways! Either select the "Add Listing" option from the top nav bar, or, on the listings page, press the add listing button at the top of the page. It looks like a little square with a plus in it.

If you're not logged in you will be prompted to log in or register.

Once you're on the Listing Submission page, fill out as much information as you'd like or are able. Remember that listings with more complete information will get more eyes and consideration!

Reviews

How Do I Leave a Review?

We highly encourage users to review shops that they've done business with. This helps the overall community understand what their buying experiences will be with if they choose to order props from this vendor.

On a listing page under the vendor images, you should see two buttons. Bookmark and Write a Review. Clicking on the "Write a Review button will open the Review page.

Once on the review screen, fill out the form and submit. The title, vendor and star ratings are mandatory fields. Writing a detailed review and verifying your purchase isn't required but is encouraged.

To rate the vendors with the sliders, click and drag on the slider to the point you feel is applicable. Please remember that reviews are from 0 to 5 with 5 being the highest and 0 the worst.

What does Verifying my Review Mean?

On the review form you will have the option to verify your review. This is done by uploading a photo of your paper invoice or email with order number, shop name and items ordered. Your verification will be kept private and wont be visible the public.

It is highly encouraged you verify your review. This information will not be shared publicly and will only be used in the event the shop owner disputes your review and requests to have it taken down.

A verified review will not be removed in the event of a dispute. If a verified review is disputed we will recommend the shop attempt to fix the issues with their client and ask the client to edit the review themselves once they are satisfied.

If we do not have this information on file we will remove your review if it is disputed.

Voting on Reviews?

If a review was helpful, please vote it up! This allows the more helpful and informative reviews to rise to the top of the pile and helps prospective buyers find the relevant information as quickly as they can.

To vote on a review, click on the review title. Once in the review, select the green "Thumbs Up" button next to the "Bookmark" button.

Can Vendors Leave Reviews?

Nope. Sorry. Once a user becomes a vendor with a listing they no longer have the ability to make reviews, only read them, vote them up or bookmark them.

Why Should I Sign Up?

If you're a vendor looking over this site and wondering why you should make an account there are a few reasons.

1. Add your company to the listing! This is a resource for prop shoppers to find and connect with vendors of those props! If you want to be found, the best way is appearing in those search results!

2. To ensure your listing is accurate. Your company may have already been listed by other members of the community. If this is the case, creating an account and claiming your listing gives you the control to edit, add categories of prop you sell and tags to help you stand out. Ensuring you have an accurate and up to date listing is the best way to capture relevant traffic and new customers.

3. To respond to and address reviews! If you're getting great reviews on the platform, you can reach out and thank your happy customers for taking the time to rate you! If you've got reviews that you're less than happy with you wont be able to reach out to those reviewers, or request that an inaccurate review be disputed unless you've got an account on the site.

All in all, joining this community enables you to get in front of new shoppers, keep your listing up to date and engage with prospective clients and reviews! It's a great way to leverage the platform.

A Listing for my Shop Already Exists, how do I Claim it?

Claiming a listing is easy! Navigate to the listing of your shop and scroll down to under the pictures. If the listing is unclaimed you should see three buttons: Bookmark, Leave a Review and Claim Listing:

If you don't see the claim listing button, this means this listing is already claimed and not available for ownership.

Click the Claim Listing button and you will be brought to the claim form. Fill out the relevant information and submit it. The site administrator will review your claim and accept or reject it depending on your claim.

While your claim is open, you can modify it at any time in your dashboard. Navigate to your open claims by selecting the Claims section of the lefthand sidebar in your Dashboard. You can edit or delete the claim via the cog menu.

How do I Edit my Listing?

When you have ownership over a listing, you can modify it at any time in your dashboard.

Navigate to your listing by selecting the Listings section of the lefthand sidebar in your Dashboard. You can edit or delete your listing via the cog menu.

Alternatively, if you are logged into your account, you can navigate to your listing on the listing page, and select the EDIT link that appears next to your listing title.

How do I Add Categories to my Listing?

If you are making the listing, you will have to select categories from the available options during the initial listing creation. Please note you don't need to select the top level prop category such as Poi or Hoop if you're selecting the sub categories. The categories are hierarchical and the parent category will be applied if you have any in the subcategory.

If you want to add categories to your listing after it's been made, navigate to the listing editor and scroll down to the the categories options and select all that apply.

If you feel that categories are missing, please reach out to the site administrator via the contact page and suggest them.

What to do if someone else has claimed my Listing?

If someone has claimed your listing, please reach out to the site administrator via the contact form. Please make the subject line "Cannot Claim Listing" and the details of the shop you wish to claim, who you are and other pertinent details.

The administrator will reach out to you for farther details and try to get to the bottom of it. They may require additional proof that you do in fact own the listing in question.

Help! I got an Unfair Review!

If you feel that your listing has received a review that does not reflect your business, you may dispute it by contacting the site administrator through the contact form with the subject "Review Dispute" and a link to the review in question.

If the review is not verified we will remove it.

If the review if verified, we will not remove the review. We encourage you to reach out to the reviewer and see if you can fix the issues they're having, and then ask them to edit their review after you have satisfied their complaint.

This system is in place to protect vendors from review bombing while ensuring reviews are as accurate as possible for the consumer.
